Things to do on a Sunny Summer Day

Hello Everybody! As we know it's getting close to summer, and we all know what it's like to be on summer vacation from school, work, or unemployment. It's a gorgeous day out, and what are we doing? Sitting at home, inside, doing absolutely nothing. It's time to go outside people, and no, not the virtual wilderness on your computer, but the real world. Here are some lovely suggestions to do on a sunny summer day. Go to the Beach There is nothing like splashing in the water on a hot summer day. The sun is shining, birds are singing, and you "accidentally" splashed that kid who wouldn't shut up (not advised). What a great way to spend a day. And if you're not near a beach, (or afraid of the diseases), you can jump in a pool. Lie in the Shade It can be very relaxing just being outside in nature. Lying on the cool grass in the shade of a tree can be a great lazy way to pass a summer afternoon, maybe even read a book while you're there. Go Saili

My Dog's Various Animals

Image
Hey all! This post is slightly exaggerated. Most people have a dog. I myself have one named Roy, but I am especially lucky because my dog is five animals rolled into one! He is part squirrel, bat, pig, cat, and is of course a dog. How does this happen, you say? He looks like an ordinary dog in the picture? It seems that way my friends, but it is not. I assure you he is five animals in one. When he was but a wee little puppy, he cohabited with the squirrels in the backyard and was accepted as their kind. He resembles a bat as he leaps from the couch to the floor in a swoop, and flings himself off the back of a five foot chair. He goes pig on walks, snorting and sniffing the air while sloshing through mud puddles coating himself in it. In his leisure at home, he will lie on the floor and clean his face as a cat would and will climb trees and lie contentedly in the sun. He is of course also a dog and has various dog characteristics such as barking and marking territory.

Everyone needs a good guide on how to get though that first year of University, or maybe a first year in high school, or even just a new job. Well, my friends, here is your Survival Guide!  Step # 1 Take a tour of the the university/college. Tours can give a lot of information and can be crucial for decision making. Some universities and colleges even have virtual tours on their websites so you don't necessarily have to travel to the university or college. Also, the website is a good place to get an idea of what the school has to offer. Step # 2 Join the conversation . Most colleges and universities have some form of a group or page on a social networking site. Quite often they have specific ones for new comers. Check out what others have to say and comment on their posts. Who knows? You could make friends before you even get there! Step # 3   Go to new student orientation . This is where you get acquainted with the college/university before making the transition. They te
