What Should I Blog About?

Image
When people start a blog, or even when they've had a blog for awhile, they often hit the question: What should I blog about? Well, the truth of the matter is that you can blog about anything as long as it is interesting to someone, and you have a knack for writing. But here is a look at the different types of blogs, or posts that you can make, to get you thinking about what you'd like to do. Fashion Blogs Fashion is something that is popular with a lot of people. People often wear clothes, and a lot of those that do like to be in the fashion know, and have the latest outfit. This can be good for you, if you have good fashion sense, and want to keep up with current fashion trends. But if you don't, you may want to pick another topic. But if you do decided to choose this topic, you can write posts that describe your outfit for the day and how you put it together, what accessories match with which outfits, outfits for special occasions (Christmas, wedding), and lots of othe

Reasons To Keep A Diary

If you're female, chances are at one point you've had a diary. Or if you're male, you may have had one too. I'm not trying to be sexist, I'm just not sure how many people of male species keep diaries, (although male vampires seem particularly fond of them). Either way, if you can write, you can keep a diary, and there are many benefits to doing so. 1. You have a record of your life. You may be like, "oh, yeah, big deal. I got a record of my life." But what people don't realize, is you're not going to remember the individual days that well. You probably have a good idea of what you did last week, and the week before that, but how about March when you were twelve? Odds are you'll remember big things, but it may be interesting to look back on your life when you're a lot older, and see how your younger self used to think, and how things have changed. 2. If you're a writer, you can use pieces of your diary to make a story. Not everyone w

Fantasy Flaws

Okay, so pretty much all of fantasy is unrealistic, but assuming things like vampires, and werewolves were possible, there are some major flaws. 1. Immortality. Vampires are always claiming to be immortal, yet there are numerous ways to kill them. You can stake them, rip them apart, ect. If you can die, guess what buddy, you're not immortal! Sure, they'll live forever if nothing kills them, but the fact that they can die means they're not immortal. 2. Horses with wings (unicorns/Pegasus/whatever weird thing a nerdy teenager creates in his parent's basement which looks similar to these). Yes, they look very pretty, and the idea of soaring through the air on a horse with wings may seem magical. However, do you know how heavy a horse is? Do you know how big those wings are going to have to be to get it of the ground, let alone with you? Come on, people. If this was possible, humans would be attaching wings to themselves and flying everywhere. 3. Werewolves get no bla

How To Beat The Heat

Summer time. The children are free from their shackles (school), you can go outside without shoveling your car out for two hours, and you can enjoy the sun shining in your office window (after you murder your boss for making you work Saturday). There's only one problem. It's hotter than Hell outside. But don't worry, because here are some tips on how to beat the heat (not literally). 1. Drink water. Lots of water. Water is your friend. Not that friend who your're nice to their face, then you turn around and plot a brutal and painful death for them. Rather, water is your new bff. The biggest thing water does is it helps to keep you hydrated. This may not seem like much, but it keeps you from getting sick from dehydration, and making you feel even worse. You can also add ice cubes to the water, so it will be ice cold, to help cool you down. Bonus tip: to tell if you are hydrated, look at your pee. The lighter it is, the more hydrated you are, and the darker it is, the l
